Fantasy Update: Week 3

So…no Wes Welker = fantasy fail.

Drew Brees got himself a win without a passing touchdown.  Wes Welker didn’t play.  Chris Johnson was controlled.  Darren McFadden? We don’t even want to talk about it. (Three fumbles. THREE.)

So this week wasn’t so good.   Even the day off due to the long weekend hasn’t lessened the sting.  On the up side, the Big Board, Yahoo!’s ongoing listing of good fantasy picks, includes both Brees and Johnson in the top five, so hopefully this won’t happen again.  (They’re at numbers 3 and 4).  Of coruse, the next highest player on the list that we own is Vincent Jackson at number 38, so we might be a bit one…or two? dimensional.

Welker will probably play next week, since it seemed like a last minute decision that he was inactive.  We’re hoping we can return to our domination, since this one bad league has put us in third place in our league.  Points-wise, we’re less than half a point off  the leader, but of the people who’ve gone 2-1….we’re in second.

Week four should be key, since Brees has a bye in Week 5 and we’ll have to start Matt Cassel (oh dear.)

Stay tuned.

Sighhhh. Be with us next week….
